Description

My holiday card for 2017. It seemed only fitting to have Solstice traveling to a new mountain wilderness, as I moved to Colorado this year. Solstice brings a sprig of Mountain Laurel from her previous eastern home as she meets her new friends - ravens, magpies, Steller's jays, mountain chickadees, a snowshoe hare and a bighorn sheep.

Absolutely gorgeous watercolor painting for the Winter Solstice. Colorado is such an awesome place, full of history (Mesa Verde National Park in Cortez, CO) and lots of wildlife. Cheers!! =D
