Common Kingfisher

A commission for =ankewehner of a Common Kingfisher. This was yet another bird I have never painted, and it was a very fun learning experience I'm still not sure how to capture those 'electric blue' spots. They really are gorgeous birds.

The reason I'm uploading these so small is because the paintings themselves are only 5X7, and they look truer to their detail when at actual size.
