Description

A custom leather mask for Chaluny.  This was a lot of fun to design - I did something new with the ears and I have to say I really like how it turned out.  Usually with gryphon masks I design the ears as part of the main mask, but this time I added them separately, which allowed me to fold them over to make more realistic, long ears.

Hand-carved and tooled 7-oz leather, hand painted with acrylics.

What makes a day new, the rising or setting of the sun, retiring to our homes to renew ourselves for the challenges ahead, or the moment one rejoins the flow of human endeavor?
