Commission Auction - ENDED

Sun Nov 2, 2008, 9:02 PM

The auction is over! =Bleuborzoi is the winner with a bid of $85! Thank you to everyone who bid!

Hey everyone, a close friend (who wishes to remain unnamed due to the specifics of this situation), is in quite a bit of financial trouble. He needs help quickly. So, =ladydove7 and myself and a number of his other friends are doing all we can to help raise enough money for him in time.

To help, I am going to offer a commission auction. What is a commission auction, you're probably wondering? It's quite simple - you bid for a commission, and the final amount determines the commission's size, complexity, and medium. There is only one commission available, and the high bidder wins the commission.

Here are the rules:

:bulletgreen: To bid, comment in this journal with your bid amount in increments of $5 or more. This means, if the previous bid is $20, you can bid $25. Or, you could bid $30 or more. Do not send me a note or comment elsewhere, since the bids need to be visible HERE to count.

:bulletgreen: My normal commission rules apply, meaning I will not draw anything explicitly sexual, mechanical, or anything that involves a copyrighted character you do not have the rights to. I'm pretty open to everything with a few exceptions. If you're unsure, simply ask!

:bulletgreen: Since this commission is to specifically help a friend with immediate financial need, I will require immediate payment by Paypal. I apologize to all of you who can only use other methods, but this auction is to help someone in a time-sensitive situation.

AUCTION LEVELS:
MINIMUM STARTING BID: $10

$10-$20: 5X7 Full-shading pencil or pen and ink drawing, 1 character/subject, no background.

$25-$40: 5X7 watercolor painting, 1 character/subject, simple wash background.

$45-$60: 8X10 watercolor or acrylic painting, 1 character/subject, simple wash background.

$65-$80: 9X12 watercolor or acrylic painting, 1 or 2 characters/subjects, simple wash background.

$85-$100: 9X12 watercolor or acrylic painting, 2 characters/subjects, detailed background.

$105-$120 11X14 watercolor or acrylic painting, 2 characters/subjects, detailed background OR 2 8X10 watercolor paintings, 1 character/subject each, simple backgrounds.

$125-$140: 11X14 watercolor or acrylic painting, 3 characters/subjects, detailed background OR 2 8X10 watercolor paintings, 1 character/subject each, detailed background.

$145+: 16X20 acrylic painting, 1 or 2 characters/subjects, detailed background OR 2 9X12 watercolor or acrylic paintings, 1 character/subject each, detailed background.

Again, there is only ONE commission winner, and that is the high bidder. Just like in a regular auction, if you get outbid, you don't get the commission and you don't pay anything. I just want to make this absolutely clear. :)

Auction ends Sunday, November 2, 2008 at 11:59 PM, eastern standard time.

Also, =ladydove7 will is raffling off some pretty cool stuff, including a few prints by me and others. If you're interested in getting some prints for a good cause, take a look at her journal: [link]

Thank you everyone! :blowkiss:
