After deciding to actually get into the holiday spirit and do a card this year, I came up with this joyful gryphon, spreading cheer (as well as berries and acorns) through the winter forest.
I just wanted to do something happy and fun, and a pen-and-ink and watercolor gryphon seemed in order. I've learned a lot about inking from my Drawing for Sequential Art class. Yes, I'm an illustration major, but the Drawing for Sequential class is INCREDIBLY helpful for illustrators. On top of constructive anatomy, I also learned a lot about perspective and inking.
