Artist's Comments

There are few things in this world as beautiful as a falcon perched over her mountains. I tried to capture just a little bit of that with this painting.

Mostly a bit of something to break this bit of artist's block I've gotten myself into. I tried to do something I haven't done in a while - a realistic raptor, no fantasy involved.

Watercolor on cold-pressed watercolor paper, about 6.5 X 10.5 inches

It's really lovely.
I love the colors. You did a very good job on the detailing of the feathers, and the mountains in the background are great too.:)

beautiful colours and texture.:)
love the watercolors, the softness of it - serene and majestic, all at once. :)
That's sweet, I like it. =)

nice! really great feeling around the whole picture, but the falcon is a little small with such a lot of background around it for me. you find some inspiration then?

I was trying to get a feeling of the vastness of the area. :) And yes, I think I've found some inspiration. Thanks!
