Oak Dryad - Leather Pendant by windfalcon Oak Dryad - Leather Pendant by windfalcon
Finally, something that isn't birds! :D Of course my second favorite thing would be trees, and oak trees in particular! This is a small necklace, carved from 3-oz leather with layers. It actually sits pretty well, and can be worn lower or higher. My friend Colleen wore it during the RAWards show while wearing the Silver Birch mask, and it matched very well. :)

This is available in my Etsy shop - [link] Sold!

I love this! The leaves are gorgeously well painted. I like how you layered them on the top.

oohhh now that is really lovely! It's so exciting to see what you can do with the different forms and chain. It's such an elegant composition. I'd love to see what you might do with a fiery red Japanese maple leaf. :D Also, your leaves keep getting more realistic as you go along! The gradients on the tips of these are very convincing. Try dabbing 5 min clear cast epoxy resin for some realistic dew drops. I did that on my oak leaf greenman and it looked sooo nice! [link]

Yep! It's pretty useful, particularly at shows. :) My only complaint is it's smaller than actual human neck/chest size, so some of the longer necklaces don't sit right.

Check out Michaels sometime. I know they randomly sell very huge human sized versions of this black velvet one, though they carry them less often than the small ones. My mom picked up a few for her displays there. Very hand to have since longer/wider necklaces fit better on the larger ones.
