Lady of Oakmont by windfalcon Lady of Oakmont by windfalcon
The second of two paintings I forgot to scan after DragonCon back in September :x Oops! The first of the pair can be seen here: [link]

The lady watches over her forest-lands.

Watercolor on illustration board, 5 X 7 inches.

The blue of her eyes and gems makes the picture stand out, and the soft colors make her seem gentle and subdued (for the moment, anyway). Looking at it makes me feel calmer!

That is quite beautiful. The feathers, the talons, and oh gosh the eyes; all great. You are quite talented. :3

(Also I think my Siamese cat obsession is showing. Just realizing the blue points I love so much are in this same palette XD)

They're both lovely, but I remember telling you when you painted this one that she was my favorite of the two! Man I just love the blue eyes/white feathers with the tawny gold accents as a color combination. It's just so graceful and lovely!
