This was hard to find a category for. It's not exactly full 'fantasy' but the subject matter kind of is. It's more of a metaphorical figure for a poster advertising the opera, La Damnation De Faust.

This is actually for my poster illustration class, and I made quite a few changes to it before it became the illustration you see now. It's supposed to be symbolic of the forces of darkness that ultimately pull Faust down. The translation we had while listening to the Opera mentioned great birds that beat Faust with their wings. I was thinking of this as a possible figure on stage in costume...or perhaps simply a metaphorical form.

Very neat design. I really like how the legs lose definition as they go down. It's very interesting. Nice work!

Thank you. Originally I had them stark white (like the horns), but my professor suggested I had them fade a bit as they went down, and she was right - I think they look better this way.

Thank you! Though I'm curious what you mean by the final image - were you referring to the text version? I'm just curious since they both are identical, except one has white text. :D
