I love falcons and I love knotwork, so I don't know why it took so long for me to make a mask with both! Like the Heron mask, this falcon mask has a cat's eye stone in the forehead. The knotwork is metallic gold. This mask was hand-carved from 7-oz leather and hand-painted with acrylics. If you'd like to see alternate views, please click the link below.

Holy smokes that's gorgeous!
You make the most gorgeous and interesting masks!
oh my goodness! i'm in love ! are you going to make a wall piece of this one too!??
I could! I'm thinking of working on more wall pieces of different species
they look surprisingly good as wall pieces. to be honest if i hadn't actually seen one i would be sceptical just because i'm not a fan of flat-ish wall pieces [regardless of the amazing artistry] but these are lovely, i think it's because it actually looks like a roosting bird on the wall and i absolutely love birds!
This is so amazing! I really love this style and composition! Congratulations!
OK this is absolutely stunning - the purple tones looks so regal somehow, and the knotwork and stone in the middle are awesome touchs. I hope whoever bought it gets some pics for you - I'd love to see the shape of it on. It looks like it would frame the face fantastically.
This is incredible! It really looks both organic and mechanical at the same time.
This is gorgeous. QuQ

That is superb!
How absolutely beautiful! Ah, I see where I know you from! The feathers that look like a phoenix! I need to go back and look at your store again!
This is wonderfully done.
These bird masks are gorgeous
Wow, I love the dramatic shapes and colors on this mask, especially the wingtips!
I honestly can't get over how wonderful this mask is... O_O I especially love the fact that accenting on the falcon's feathers matches the stone - excellent design choice!
Thank you! I actually designed the mask around the stone, and it ended up working out well I think :3
This is gorgeous, so majestic
How did you do that?
By a method called tooling - I carve lines in the leather with a swivel blade and bevel the edges with hammering tools
haha I feel that way a lot, as far as wondering 'why did it take me so long to do these things I love?' This came out gorgeous, Brenda! I do hope you'll try other birds this way. I'd love to see you explore more of this visual style.
