To view this tutorial, you must click on 'full view.' This will open the FULL tutorial in the same window.

Ohh this is a godsend, Brenda! I ! Another tool that really helps get the layers smoothed out is a colorless blender. Especially with very layer intensive items like this one! Definitely a :+favlove: Cant wait to see more *_* I'd love to see how you do peacock feathers:D

*snatches and runs* tytytytytytyty for another tutorial!!!!
Weee thanks ^^ The reason I didn't use the colorless blender in this is because I wanted to show just the basics of making the feather. I couldn't have gone much farther and shown them how to make them REALLY detailed, but for now, I'm just covering the basics XD Besides, colorless blender can get tricky for those who don't know how to use it, and for any beginners using this tutorial, I don't want to confuse them too much.

Perhaps for the next one, though. Maybe Feather Patterns and Coloring Techniques ^__^

Definitely! Especially if the colorless blender helps with any particular technique , especially. I imagine it'd be a great tool for creating soft downy feathers.

Another excellent contribution. Your tutorials are really clear, and you don't fall into the habit of "now shade it" and then showing the shaded product leaving the reader confused as to how you knew where to put the shading XD I find people do that so often on their hair/eye/whatever random anime thing they draw well tutorials
That would kind of defeat the whole purpose of a tutorial XD Going from step A to step F and leaving out B through E. I'd love to see one of those so I could laugh at it XD

Step one: Draw your feather.

Step two: Draw in the vane, and put shade in. You're done!

And thank you ^__^ Ang actually poked at me to create one XD and I suddenly found the inspiration at that moment to do it.
