Child of the Hawks

Every so often I have the need to draw something utterly spontaneous. Usually it involves flowy hair and birds of prey. This, as you can see, is no exception.

Hawks don't get nearly enough admiration. Eagles are plastered everywhere. Even falcons are given a bit more attention than hawks. I love hawks, especially the Red-Tailed Hawk, which happens to be the most common hawk in the United States. I see them very often, either soaring or sitting on light poles over the highway, and every time I'm excited to see them. They are beautiful, elegant birds.
