Before the dream, there must be dusk...

A companion piece to Follow my Dream, as a pair of Dreamfalcon commissions for *jeffzz111.

More paper experimentation! This time, it's on Fabriano cold-press. I think I like the hot-press more, but when I want texture, I'm definitely going to use this instead of the Arches. It's not as 'thirsty' as the Arches and allows lifting, but still holds onto pigment well enough so previous layers don't come up with washes.

I really love this, my eye moves all over the composition. Not only do you have a great sense of motion that matches the subject of the piece, the colors and details are delicious, the smoothness of your line quality is almost silken, and the texture of both the wash in the background and the paper itself are great. I love looking at this!
