Barn Owl With Roses - Leather Archery Arm Guard by windfalcon Barn Owl With Roses - Leather Archery Arm Guard by windfalcon
This arm guard was a commission for a client who loves barn owls and white roses. Roses are something I haven't tooled on leather yet, and it was quite fun to do. :3

Hand-tooled from 7-oz. leather. Unlike my previous arm guards, this one has a bit of acrylic paint, since the leather itself wasn't light enough for the owl. The background itself is dyed.

I really love the look to these and I am certain they are very comfortable :)

How much do you ask? Do you make any specifically to accommodate the elbow-joingt area? That's where many people hit though I tend to hit along my forearm. My sister has a 33lb bow that I sometimes will hit with but my fiace's is a 40 lb bow that I almost always hit my forearm with.

Thank you!

Thanks! Traditionally archery arm guards only protect the forearm, since with good form, the elbow should never be struck. If you rotate your elbow, the string won't hit it, but may still graze the forearm.

These are $100 plus shipping, which includes a custom design. :3

I've been working on rotating my elbow, I think I finally have it as I shot a little last night and didn't hit all. Squee!

I will definitely keep you in mind for the future :D

Once you start doing it, it becomes automatic and you'll do it without even thinking about it :D
