Artist's Comments

The first of the angel series I'm working on. Well...not so much angel as "let's take characters and slap wings on them." Why? Because wings are inspiration. Wings give a character magnificence and beauty. This is my character, Falcon, with a set of falcon wings. She has no tail, because it didn't seem to fit in the piece. I also had a lot of fun with the new alcohol marker paper I bought...it seriously is PERFECT for marker. No bleeding, and flat, pure color.

Notes : I know her left wing (our right) is too long (where the bend is), and her head is too small. Can't change that now, though. :)

There's a lot of symbolism in this piece, but I'll let you have the fun of finding it. Enjoy.

Nice job, but the hands look really disproportional (or however you spell it),

Gorgeous, I love the colors in this ^_^ It looks so free and so...limitless, and then you notice that one wrist is manacled, keeping her just out of reach of the falcon. The texture of her clothing is lovely, and I really love the cool tones of the sky. Her wings are, of course, gorgeously detailed... but my favorite thing is the depth of her hair. It looks so gorgeous and thick, blowing in the wind.
